How CAP Glass saved $25,000 – CAP Glass Allentown was a UGI natural gas customer who had always been an “NT rate,” meaning the smallest commercial rate class. Their usage was much lower than the “NT rate” required, costing them much more each month, unnecessarily. UGI does not automatically change rate classes, which means it’s something the customer has to actively choose to do – but like most customers, CAP had no idea it was an option or where to start. They met with Shipley Energy Advisors, where we laid out a plan, showing how much they would save from converting to an LFD rate. We then walked them through the entire process of making the switch, updating agreements with UGI, and selecting a new supply contract. The supply rates we could offer also lowered as a result of the change, resulting in a double win for the client.

In the first year alone, CAP saved $25,000 in their first year alone on the new rate class.
