We have the region’s largest team of NATE-certified technicians. When you choose us, you’ll benefit from:
During regular business hours, the cost for a technician to come to your home and diagnose the issue at hand is $109.95. After 3pm and on holidays, that cost is $169.95. A shop & environmental fee of $8.99 also applies to every service call. The technician will go over the cost of repair with you and have you sign off on the repair before the repair is completed.
The diagnostic fee is not applied to the cost of repairs; it covers only the expense of our technician coming out to diagnose the issue.
The reset button on your furnace will restart the burner should a problem cause the system to shut down, for instance, in case of a power outage. By pushing the reset button, the system will restart itself. However, if the system shuts down again you should contact Shipley and request service from one of our trained service technicians.
Warning: Pressing the button more than once could cause excess product to collect in the combustion chamber of the unit.
Choosing the right filter size to fit your HVAC system is essential. Look at the system to determine its current size.
We also advise our residential heating and air conditioning customers to consider other factors. If you have allergies or asthma, look at a higher-grade filter that will get more contaminants out of the air. If you choose a pleated filter for your AC, remember that you will need to replace it more often than other air filters. Each household will need to replace its AC air filter at different intervals depending on usage and dust buildup. As a rule of thumb, you should change or clean your AC filter every month when you use your HVAC system frequently. If you have pets that shed or your home is dusty, you may need to swap in new filters more often.
You can go longer between changes during milder fall or spring months when you may not use your HVAC system as much.
Keeping your system clean and free of dust and debris can reduce the need for HVAC repairs in PA. Regular maintenance ensures coils have enough open air around them and heat exchangers can avoid nearby dust buildup. We recommend biannual cleaning:
