I’m Chip Perry with Perrydell Farms. We are a dairy farm in York County, and we bottle milk and sell it directly to the customers. We have a sign out out front–there’s a sign out front that’s Century Farm… Century farm is 100 years. We’ve worked the land for 100 years. The farm was bought originally by my great grandfather. After World War two, my dad took it overwith his brother, and they started milking cows. And in the 60s, we started bottling milk, making ice cream. Then later on in the 1990s-2000s deliver milk in the local York County.
So we have a gas line, natural gas. We have diesel fuel, off-road diesel fuel, and electricity, obviously. We have to have generators because of all the refrigeration and milking cows, of course. So, it’s a lot to keep up with the energy side of things. Shipley was great. I mean, we’ve been in business dealing with them for, I’d say over 25 years, probably. Most recently I’ve dealt with Phil. It’s been a great relationship. I can always count on him to give me pricing and save money and work with me in a timely manner. So it’s worked out great.
It became very difficult, you know, with trying to figure out where do we go. It takes a lot of time. It takes a lot of research. But Shipley does that for me, so it really works out great. Yeah, you’re definitely saving me time and money. Yeah, absolutely. The amount of time that I would have to invest in just trying to figure out the energy savings, it would add up.
